My wife specializes in writing archaic poetry - sonnets, sestinas, vilanelles, triolets - and spent a while finding sites that described the forms. One of her favorites is Bob Newman's Guide to Verse Forms. It includes a selection of hymns to the High-Carb Meatballed One.
