So I'm thinking for the Canon we could do a community Q and A thing, where one of us asks a boiling theological question and others answer as cryptically/uncryptically, authoritative/unauthoritative, etc/unetc as they choose. And to screw with future readers, feel free to pose new questions before others are answered, so there's no linearness. I'll get the meatball rolling:

So when you say 'RAmen', is it pronounced /rɑːˈmɪn/ like the pasta or /ˈrɑːmɛn/,/ˈreɪmɛn/ like the Semitic religions' Amen?

We have a Korean sister-in-law, and from her we've picked up saying it "RAH-myun", at least when used in a food context.

When using it to get on the nerves of a True Christian (TM) I tend to pronounce it Rah-MEN"

Ah but scripture tells us that the original pirates were not criminals, but instead went around giving candy to children and such. I suspect the criminal stereotype comes from ninja propaganda.

That said, I can probably answer that question when I have a little more time to spare. I love answering theological questions in full on Poe's law Pastafarianism. I think I answered some newcomers question about heaven/hell not too long ago, those ones are always fun.
