Oriental food stores usually stock rice noodles. I think those a gluten-free, and they certainly count as pasta.

Yeah, if you cannot find any gluten-free pasta, just try to order it online. That would probably work, and he could finally be accepted by His Noodly Greatness.
There are a lot of judgemental people in the world, and personally I think that those people are absolute scumballs.
