I'm sure most if not all of you can name the source for the following quote.

They'll come at you sideways. It's how they think. It's how they move. Sidle up and smile. Hit you where you're weak.

Also, from the same movie,

Goin' on a year now, I ain't had nothin' 'twixt my nethers weren't run on batteries.
If only Wash were a magical zombie like Jesus. I miss him. Now who will pilot my spaceship?

Serenity? Firefly?
Our Flyer,
Who drink in heaven,
FSM be thy name,
Thy ketchup come,
Thy sauce be done,
On earth as it's served in heaven.
Give us this day our garlic bread,
And forgive over cooked Tagliatelle,
As we forgive those who serve it to us.
And lead us not into takeaways,
Who deliver pizzas so evil.
For thine is the pasta, al dente cooked spaghetti.
For breakfast and dinner,

Inspired by Mr B Bart's current Avatar!

Priest: Do you, Ming the Merciless, Ruler of the Universe take this Earthling, Dale Arden to be your Empress of the hour?
Ming: (pause) of the hour, Yes.
Priest: Do you promise to use her as you will?
Ming: (pause, then very slyly) Certainly!
Priest: Not to blast her into space?
Ming: (silence)
Priest: ....Until such time as you get the whim....?
Ming: I do.

I tend to prefer geekdom or fandom. I am a proud member, myself. I honestly don't understand people who think such terms are insulting.

Evey Hammond: Who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: Well I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
Evey Hammond: Oh. Right.

V: But on this most auspicious of nights, permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona.
V: Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
Evey Hammond: Are you like a crazy person?

V: I am quite sure they will say so. But to whom, might I ask, am I speaking with?
Evey Hammond: I'm Evey.
V: Evey? E-V. Of course you are.
Evey Hammond: What does that mean?
V: It means that I, like God, do not play with dice and I don't believe in coincidences.

Hugo Weaving gets everywhere these days. That's why we have replaced Kevin Bacon with Hugo Weaving in the Kevin Bacon game (ie - six degrees of movie separation). You can get from any actor to Hugo Weaving in six moves or less. Here is an easy Hugo Weaving game:

Mark Hammill:

Mark Hammill was in Star Wars with Harrison Ford (1), who was in Apocalypse Now with Laurence Fishburne (2), who was in The Matrix with Hugo Weaving (3).

Here's a harder one: Fred Astaire.

Fred Astaire was in Towering Inferno with Faye Dunaway (1), who was in The Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan (2), who was in Goldeneye with Sean Bean (3), who was in The Fellowship Of The Ring with Hugo Weaving (4).

This is a great drinking game, by the way... seeing as it's the weekend...

NO USING IMDB.COM!!! THAT'S CHEATING!!!

The Matrix wrote:Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

My version of that game is "Six degrees of movie separation from Danny Elfman," have to connect an actor/actress to a movie that Danny Elfman did the soundtrack for. Example:

Mark Hammill was in Star Wars with Carrie Fisher (1), who was in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back with Kevin Smith (2), who was in Dogma with Matt Damon (3), who was in Good Will Hunting, soundtrack by Danny Elfman (4).

EDIT: oh yeah, need a movie quote:

OK, I don't have enough movie trivia to do the Hugo Weaving game out of my head, but at least I found a shorter path starting with Fred Astaire:

Fred Astaire was in Ghost Story with Alice Krige(1), who was in Star Trek First Contact with James Cromwell (2), who was in Babe with Hugo Weaving (who voiced the dog)(3).

Anybody come up with a shorter one?

I got a Fred Astaire <-> Danny Elfman one.

Fred Astaire was in The Towering Inferno with Paul Newman (1), who was in Cars with Michael Keaton (2), who was in Batman, soundtrack by Danny Elfman (3).
