"There's a hole in the world like a great black pit, and it's filled with people who are filled with shit, and the vermin of the world inhabit it..."

-- Sweeney Todd
--Zankou II

The thin line between genius and insanity is less of a border than a union.

"Science can purify religion from error and superstition; religion can purify science from idolatry and false absolutes. Each can draw the other into a wider world, a world in which both can flourish."
--Pope John Paul II

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

The accumulated filth ... will look up and shout "Save us!" and I'll look down and whisper "No". -from the upcoming Watchmen film.

What part of "sudden death" did you not understand?

More TPB. It surely needs no explanation.

Ray Stanz: "I can't help it. It just popped in there."
Peter Venkman: "What just popped in there, Ray?"

Last night was the first time I had ever watched National Lampoons on DVD- I've only ever watched it on the TV... I didn't realise there was so much edited out of the TV version (who knew Australian TV was so conservative???)

My new favouritist line from a movie ever... As it is a very regular part of my vocab anyway....

"Ellen: What do you think Clark?
Clark: I think you're all fucked in the head"
I am a product of massive consumption- it's not my fault it's how I'm programmed to function

I'm sure that in 1985 plutonium is available in every corner drugstore, but in 1955 it's a little hard to come by!
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

...and from 'The Mighty Boosh:

Ape of Death: Now, prepare to die!
Howard: Aren't I already dead?
Ape of Death: Yeah, but it hurts more the second time.
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

From ID4, the First Lady to the President: You're a terrible liar.

How did he get to be President, then?

Our Flyer,
Who drink in heaven,
FSM be thy name,
Thy ketchup come,
Thy sauce be done,
On earth as it's served in heaven.
Give us this day our garlic bread,
And forgive over cooked Tagliatelle,
As we forgive those who serve it to us.
And lead us not into takeaways,
Who deliver pizzas so evil.
For thine is the pasta, al dente cooked spaghetti.
For breakfast and dinner,
