Imax 3d

Postby kat » Tue Jul 18, 2006 4:06 pm

Okay, So I went to see Superman returns in the IMAX 3d, and I have to tell everybody it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool.

It's not like that crappy 3D I grew up with AT ALL.

I saw The Matrix: Reloaded on Imax (not 3D, unfortunately). Although the film itself was honest-to-FSM awful, it was impossible not to have fun watching it on the big screen.

If you've never been to an Imax, go now. Seriously.

I am an IMAX fan, and the IMAX 3d is, like, even better.

I'm just a geek.

(I went to see it TWICE)

I find the made-for-iMax movies enjoyable, but...

The local iMax is a giant dome theater. It's huge, it's awesome, but its' a dome, projection area is a circle about. So, when a rectangular movie plays, it looks like crap.

ah. Yes. Imax turtles should never play movies designed for IMAX standards, and vice versa.

I saw Superman on the regular screen, and it was still AWESOME! But then, I'm a HUGE Superman fan.
True terror lies in the futility of human existence.

Malcolm Reynolds is my co-pilot.

"The only freedom deserving the name, is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental and spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest." - John Stuart Mill
