...Ya, on second thought, they probly f*cked it up entirely...

I hope I'm wrong.

The commercials were vaguely creepy.
I hope you're on the recieving end of an improbability equation wherein something happens to you that's as unlikely as Rob Schneider winning a best actor Oscar on the same day Michael Jackson single handedly captures Osama Bin Laden. ~ Rainswept

What cracks me up is that my 4-year-old is more intelligent than these plebeians who cannot actually understand what it means that these books and films are FICTION.
A samurai once asked Zen Master Hakuin where he would go after he died.
Hakuin answered, "How am I supposed to know?"
"How do you know? You're a Zen master?" exclaimed the samurai.
"Yes, but not a dead one," Hakuin answered.

I am very excited for the movie. I adore the books and I think they are great. I saw some fellow on the news the other day talking about the books...someone referred to him as Bill Donahue, I think? He was near having a heart attack over the atheism of it all  "Atheists are so filled with hate--they are all hate--hate--hate--hate--bunnies--and hate."

Yes, because I wake up in the morning and wash down my coffee with a nice hot, steaming bowl of hate.
I follow it up around lunch with a sandwich full of angst.

*Grr* I am an angry, book-wielding atheist! Fear my wisdom!

I really think he was simply confused and accidentally replaced 'sarcasm' with 'hate'.

A lil back on topic--please read the books first. The movie is completely going to flip them up. I still do want to see the movie though--Nicole Kitman as Mrs. Coulter??! Woo!!

Very nice. It looks very good. I love the book, Phillip Pullman seems to like the movie too, despite religious criticism and that it's a bit rough around the edges. I think they had to gut out a bit of the religious stuff out.
