swinken - to work, toil. Middle English, probably not used much after C15.

That's going back a bit. While I was watching that I wondered if Robert Smith, lead singer of The Cure, was at all influenced by Tiny Tim in his singing style. The random facial expressions are very similar. This isn't a very good example of that but it's brilliant anyway:
