Stairway to Pasta

Postby JohnGalt717 on Tue Nov 08, 2005 11:26 pm

Just saw the wonderful version of Imagine, and I started thinking. What in addition to imagine, is probably one of the greatest songs ever made.

So, of course, I thought of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven

There's a lady who's sure all that tastes good is carbs
And she's buying a plateful of spaghetti
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
As a pirate, she'll take what she came for
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a plateful of spaghetti

There's a plate on the table but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes spaghetti is holy.
In a church by the brook, there's a preacher who claims,
that Darwin is a complete liar.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feeling I get when I look to Italy
And my stomach is crying for pasta.
In my thoughts I have seen spaghetti floating in the air,
And the pirates defending our global temperature.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the pirates will lead us to plunder
And a new life will come for those who eat much
And the kitchens will cook all the pasta

If there's a rumble in your stomach, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a call for spaghetti.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
The FSM will choose your mission
And it makes me wonder.

Your stomach's growling and it won't stop till you eat some,
The stippers are calling you to heaven,
Dear Midgit, can you hear the volcanoe, spilling beer in the air
Your pasta lies in the kitchen.

And as we think of the food
Stomachs shrinking in hate.
There walks a doctor, speaking lies
Who damns pasta and all carbs
How these will cause weight-gain.
And if you thinkvery hard
The truth will come to you at last
When all are hungry or looting
To be in heaven with the pirates.

And she's buying a plateful of spaghetti.

Genius, dude, genius.
Look, Lois! It's the two symbols of the Republican Party! An elephant, and a big fat white guy who's threatened by change.

Yes, all we need is a vintage Gibson double-neck and we'll be in business.
Put down that Lil' Jon, pick up Charley Patton.
Start thinking Chicago, stop thinking Manhattan.

Don't forget the Telecaster in the solo.

seriously it took all my urge while reading that
not to take a pair of panties from my gf
and throw them at my screen,
i wrote gf as to not imply that i wear panties...
because that would be strange

Strange, but not unheard of. If I had panties, I'd throw them too.

We could buy out Weird Al Yankovic with this stuff
I am anti-"txt talk." I support good grammar. I am part of the "Save the Vowels" movement. For your sanity and mind, type out your damn words.

Thank you
