Sounds good. Unfortunately, I don't think it'a available in my neck of the woods.
Aye, you can only get it in 3 woyevodships (districts or whatever, Poland is divided into parts called woyevodships... it sounds weird) in Poland and in special shops. Need a reason to visit Poland? The local beers! My latest discoveries are plum beer and banana beer. Not too sweet (don't you just hate stuff I call "female beers" with nearly no alcohol content and tasting like lemonade?) and nice and... well, plum and banana.
Pasternity sounds purrrfect!

You should be proud. There was a significant Polish military presence in my home town of Glasgow during World War II, and Poles have been valued citizens and guests ever since. One of my friends is of Polish extraction, and his Grandfather was involved in the resistance against the Nazis.
Now correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe Polish resistance fighters kept one single fingernail long so that they could identify each other, but if they were in danger of being caught they could just bite their fingernails. My friend keeps the fingernail on the little finger of his right hand long to honour his Grandfather and all the other Polish resistance fighters.

Why oh why do we have such sucky beer in the States?
And that's a really interesting tidbit about WWII. More interesting stuff you never hear about in high school, at least here in the U.S. I'll raise a glass to those who fought the good fight.

I have friends who remedy that by brewing their own. There's brewclubs all over, and several breweries as well. Near me in Centreville is a Sweetwater Tavern, and they always have several different varieties of their own brews on tap. You're in Virginia, right? Should be easy to find some good stuff.
(Of course, I don't drink beer, only cider. I have more of a challenge, since fewer places offer that.)

Ubi, thanks for reminding me that there is a small brewing company here in Winchester. It is, unfortunately in an area of town I seldom visit, so I forgot about it until I read your post. I'm not sure what products they carry (it's been a while) but I think they carry home brewing kits as well as stuff you don't necessarily find in the grocery stores. I feel a need to run into town soon...

Maybe i'm just lucky, or maybe we're just a buncha drunks up here in the north, but i've got "Fitgers" brewery about 30 minutes by bus from my house, "Sir Benedicts" (they have 30 imported beers) about 40 minutes away and "Thirsty Pagan" brewery just across the bridge to WI!
