I'm not sure how to tell good halvah from not-so-good. But I have most of this container left - you are welcome to it if you want to pick it up!

thanks Ubi, if I had the day to drive would be tempting.

Good Halvah has mild sweet and sesame flavor with a not unpleasant grainy texture - like natural peanut butter does, but not oily -- okay, okay it is an acquired taste

Then I must not have good halvah. It's overwhelmingly sweet, very dry and grainy, and every time I open it, I drain off some more oil. It won't spread at all, but is not solid enough to slice well either. If it had a peanut butter texture, I could think of something to do with it.

:barf: that does sound disgusting

good stuff can be sliced, is not overly sweet, and never, ever "leaks"

some made with cocoa powder so has slightly bitter chocolate flavor

I'm starting to think there is no help for this stuff. At least not as food. Perhaps I can come up with a craft project that can use it.
