Daftbeaker poll: let's get ready to stummmmmmble!

This is where we confer honor on those who have earned the title of Prophet. Or, where we mock them. One or the other.

Assuming we don't lose another 200-500 posts...

This is typical of ALL management policy in my experience the workers suffer whilst the Fat Cats sit on their arses and do bugger all!!! :furious:

Same on my side of the pond. In order to help compensate me for my four (five?) pay cuts in the past six months, my work load has tripled, and they're closing my field office so that instead of driving ten minutes to do site inspections, I'll be able to drive two hours. And then drive two hours back afterwards.

That would be an ad hominem attack, surely?

People who use ad hominem attacks are horrible and despicable, and should be dragged out and shot.

One of my brothers actually said that to me to end an argument once.
(We were arguing about the constitutionality of a tax law - I'm a tax attorney with training in constitutional law and he is a postal service mechanic. I started asking whether he had read a particular article about this in Stanford Law Review and things like that.)

 Ham, thou art young and relatively new to thee board, two conditions which may lead thee into temptation towards impatience, thus thee FSM and his scurvy minions shalt cut unto thee some slack.

A) There was a recent server move, resulting in a variety of glitches (such as the loss of signatures, which seems to be causing a great deal of consternation) therefore the admins are giving priority to that behind the scenes. FWIW, they all have more than full-time employment and/or other real-life demands, so they are fixing glitches and following up on other requests in as timely a manner as possible.

B) Posted Tue Feb 16, 2010 1:14 am, which was just one week ago.

C) Here was my reply to the last query on why a title was not updated immediately.

D) If and when the conferment of DB's title seems to be taking too long, Bart &/or I will followup on it. DB will get his title.

Bart, i'm fairly certain that qwerty is NOT part of the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. Nor do i think you should send your resume to the Guides home office in the hopes that they still need someone to take over the post of robotics correspondent.

I heard that the proper forms haven't been filed in triplicate yet, and that they still need a cover sheet stating the intentions of the revolution.

We haven't even had the meeting yet where we set a time to work out the implentation schedule for setting the procedures for establishing a mission statement. We can't even begin working on the revolution plans until we have that all done, let alone start the paperwork.

That is just crazy talk. How can you be dreaming of mission statements when you haven't even scheduled a breakfast meeting to brainstorm team names?
