Huh... And if you turn the 8 on its side, you'll get an infinity--just as our Spaghedeity is all infinite and stuff.

I'll start the caroling!!!

On the 1st day of Octo (Octos, Octothon, Octomas, Octavio, Octetti, Octopus, Octsober??) my pirate gave to me a perfect plate of fresh Spaghetti

I think more proof has popped that octopus is a holy animal. Paul the octopus has sucessfully predicted each world cup game. perhaps his noodleness has come down in the form of paul?

I concur! It would be supercool to make the Octopus a holy animal. But what about our other tentacled sea-friends?

I think maybe the Kraken (who makes itself known in much pirate lore) would be a better candidate.

Anyway- We all know that October is the true eighth month and that New Years is really in March. So... October 8th, anyone? :twisted:

I am not sure about this proposal. Octopi enjoy taking cameras and latching onto things, while his Holyness only does the latter. At least, I am not familiar with any tales of Him taking people's cameras...

Also, this lil guy only has 6 legs: :wink:

We octopi are holy animals. and we have a holiday to celebrate.

Ok, I’m going to run all this through The Wholly And Significant Numberisticator ‘n’ Temporalizer (TWASN’T). This machine has been programmed with the obscurities and maturities; the verities and parities; the wasted, basted, ideation of creation; from the beginning of the grinning to ending of the spending; powered and flowered with the rhyme of time, the sauce of the boss, and held together by the lasting cement of the universal constant.

(Universal Constant: (C6.H12.O6) --> 2(C.O2) + 2(C2.H5.OH)

Having spent some time studying the works of certain theological numerologists of the past and recent present, we should be able to get the TWASN’T to produce a sufficiently self-entangled rationalization for whatever the Frakking Somnambulant Manifestation we want. Furthermore, this process should allow us to incorporate (or just plain rip off) whatever elements of whatever incidental events we want. That’s what numerology is all about. This will take a little time, but not as long as it took it to come up with that stupid Ultimate Question, I promise.

Before taking the octopus as our own... I hope you know the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus is much venerated by the Peoples of Cascadia. I wouldn't like to be seen as cutting someone else's grass and subsequently triggering a bitter turf war.
