This is not about which disease is actually the scariest, it is about the disease with the scariest-sounding name. For example - Yellow Fever: very scary disease, but not a scary sounding name. Plantar Fasciitis: not a very scary inflammation of the foot, but a terrifying-sounding name.
So I post a disease name, and you try to post a scarier-sounding one. If it is actually a scary disease, that's OK, but it doesn't have to be. It just has to sound scary. The winner shall be the first person that wins. Here we go:

BTW I have quite a lot of Peripheral Neuropathy, having been diabetic for so long. It just means your hands and feet go numb and feel funny. I fear it's reaching my brain.

Not likely. Peripheral neuropathy affects the peripheral nervous system, not the central nervous system. Any 'feeling stupid and slow' issues you may have are entirely your own problem and nothing to do with peripheral neuropathy. Sorry about that.DavidH wrote: I fear it's reaching my brain.
