This evening's repast consisted of broiled chipotle salmon, roasted new potatoes from the farm a mile up the road, steamed corn on the cob from the same farm, and a bottle of home-made Riesling from this spring's batch. Exquisite.

Tomorrow, the last day of my vacation, I shall once again unleash the Burritos of Doom.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

An olive. It's in the bottom of a martini glass. Maybe I'll have another one later?

A full pound of cheap canned tuna, with two slices of bread, some Miracle Whip, and some ketchup.

I've certainly had better meals, but it was nourishment.

Chickpea dahl. It's only a Tesco one from a tin but with some chilli powder, worcester sauce and pepper it's quite nice.

Quite possibly the laziest meal I've made for years, chickpea dahl and baked beans.

The recipe goes like this:

Open can of dahl and can of beans into bowl.
Add worcester sauce and pepper.
Microwave.
Worry it's getting a bit vegetarian hippy so add beef stock.
Eat :idiot:
