It's only August so why are you all talking so funny? :lurk:

My Baroness Griffin , what ever do you mean by that comment ? I confess to bewilderment and befuddlement . It was a jest ? Wot ! Jolly good , i say ! You must tell it again at the Marquis of Boysonbury's ball next saturday . You will attend , yes ? Also be so good as to bring along Sir Bart , apparently the marquis needs a hot ballon filled. Quite a novel invention .

Yarr...I mean goodness gracious...do you think that we would speak in such a vulgar fashion Lady Griffin? I think our elocution lessons (and turkey basting skills) are of the highest standard...*sniff*

Tis rude to sniff. Especially if Ladies are having a bit of a glow.

Was that an indelicate comment of the feminine persuasion, young Baroness Griffin? One does enjoy the occasional bawdy guffaw, but there is a time and place for such trifles, and now is not it. To think of the language some women now think is acceptable for their high breeding...

Trifles? I'm partial to a nice bit of strawberry trifle and cream.

My most gracious lady, any time is time for trifle, especially when partnered with cream of the highest order. One must remember this for our next soiree, what ho?

Oh my! What is this smelly little ruffian doing here? Who let him in? And what sort of creature is he? Oh! I feel quite faint at the very sight of him! Will some kind gentleman please escort him, or indeed it, to the servant's door? Perhaps we should give the diminutive barbarian tuppence if he'll promise never to return here?

Quite right Lady La La...I say shoot the little blighter and have him him made into a draft excluder. One loves one's northern retreat but it does get drafty in the Trossachs.

Quite so Lord Bart, I do believe that we shall be celebrating our day not long after. Good use of the Kings English shall be observed I dare say!

Yes, I must say the weather is quite refreshing at the moment. Just the sort of weather for a lovely garden party, I do think. And I have hired such a marvelous new pastry chef! Perhaps I should arrange a little soiree...

Oh please do Lady La La...I do hope Lady Bart and Oneself will be on the Guest list...we haven't been invited to a soiree since the incident at Lord Spot's Tennis and Croquet Picnic:
